Bold, playful and completely one of a kind, this vintage 1950s-era cabinet has been transformed by hand into a statement piece of functional art.

Inspired by vintage French furniture with a contemporary maximalist twist, the piece combines vibrant fuchsia, turquoise and purple with graphic black-and-white patterns, metallic gold detailing and sparkling crystal-style accents.

The curved top features a dramatic hand-painted black-and-white harlequin pattern framed in gold, while the drawer fronts are finished in vivid fuchsia with individually painted purple diamond motifs and delicate dotted detailing. Turquoise framing, black-and-white stripes, crystal-style knobs and hand-applied embellishments continue the design around the piece.

And the artwork doesn’t stop at the front.

The sides, drawer interiors, cabinet interior and back have all been painted, making this a piece meant to be appreciated from every angle. Open a drawer or cabinet door and you’ll find even more unexpected pattern and color inside.

Vintage Condition

This piece began as vintage furniture and retains evidence of its age and previous life, including normal imperfections, wear, cracks and variations in the original construction. No carpentry restoration was performed, and these characteristics have not been disguised to make the piece appear new.

The cabinet has been extensively painted, including the interior; however, a noticeable vintage/antique odor remains, particularly inside the enclosed storage areas.

These characteristics are part of the underlying vintage piece and should not be considered characteristics of newly manufactured furniture.
